This session will help you have access e-journal articles to support your evidence-based practice at your fingertips. Whether you're a seasoned healthcare professional or just starting your journey, this course is designed to support your informed decision-making and ability to provide high-quality patient care. Join us to enhance your search skills by exploring online clinical decision support tools and evidence-based resources, including UpToDate, BMJ Best practice, DynaMed, and Trip Pro database. We will also cover e-book platforms such as Bookboon, Kortex etc.
Target audience:
All Barts Health NHS Trust staff who need guidance on accessing evidence-based resources like point-of-care tools, reviews, guideline and summaries and e-books.
Requirements:
Participants are required
- to have an OpenAthens account.
- to be a member of the library. Please register with the library here.
Learning objectives:
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
- understand how to access e-journal articles and e-books to enhance knowledge and research skills.
- develop the ability to utilise point-of-care tools such as BMJ Best Practice, UpToDate, DynaMed etc. effectively for evidence-based clinical insights and up-to-date medical knowledge.
- explore Trip Pro database for clinical decision support and research.
